Food delivery service DoorDash has a new credit card that has been getting some buzz. The DoorDash Rewards Mastercard Credit Card offers a free year of DashPass ($96 value), a $100 bonus when you spend $500 in the first 3 months, and 4% cash back on DoorDash and Caviar orders with no annual fee.
When you apply for a new DoorDash Rewards Credit Card, you will receive DashPass free for the first year, which provides a $96 value and includes $0 delivery fees, reduced service fees, 5% back in credits on pickup orders, and exclusive members-only benefits on eligible orders.
Every anniversary year that you spend $10,000 on your DoorDash Rewards Mastercard, you’ll continue to get another complimentary DashPass membership ($96 value), but your membership auto-renews if you don’t qualify.
In addition, you will get a $100 limited-time bonus when you spend $500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening. This is a small spend requirement for a bonus but you can get a way better bonus with the Discover IT with Double Cashback the first year and $100 sign-up and 5x back (10x back first year) on Restaurants starting in April.

If you want to earn travel rewards on your dining purchases: The American Express Gold Card earns 4 points per dollar at restaurants (including takeout and delivery in the U.S.) and U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 in purchases each year, then 1 point per dollar). AMEX Membership Rewards at 2 cents each, this is an effective 8% return on all your food purchases, double what you’ll earn for DoorDash purchases on the DoorDash card.
If you want to earn cash back on your dining and entertainment purchases: The Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card has no annual fee and allows you to earn more on your everyday spending with a wider range of bonus categories. If you dine or pick up food at McAlister’s, Cinnabon, or Schlotzsky’s you can get an easy 10% off instantly in the app or when you check out at the counter. These fast-food restaurant chains are offering this as part of many AARP discount s. There are several other restaurants that offer AARP discounts but these stick out because they are ones you may pick up food from more often or are most likely to use. We also found it was really easy to link the accounts to the AARP number and you just press the discount button to apply it each time instead of having to print out a coupon or beg the person at the counter to get the ten percent savings.

Starbucks Introduces New Rewards Program Starbucks officially launched its new rewards program and people are not all that happy about the devaluation. Starbucks is changing the way customers get free drinks. Now instead of getting one star per visit, you get two stars per $1 spent. And to get to Gold level, you have to earn 300 stars instead of 30 like before. Basically, you now have to spend more cash and visit Starbucks more often to earn rewards, especially if you don’t spend over $6 for coffee on each trip.

FREE Starbucks Gold Status After a Single Purchase Starbucks launched its new rewards program seen as a devaluation by customers sparking a backlash because it will now be a revenue-based rewards system. You used to get one star per visit and now you earn 2 stars per dollar. You’ll need 300 stars to earn Gold status which only used to be 30 stars earned making it more challenging. Starbucks is now offsetting the backlash by offering Gold status for a year with just one purchase by May 2. For new and current Green status members (0-299 stars), you can get Gold status for one year. After the 48 hours it takes to change over to gold status you’ll need to collect 125 stars to earn your first Star Reward. Existing Gold members with status (as of April 11) can receive an additional year of Gold. The Gold status will be updated after the promotion ends on May 2, 2016.
Popeyes is throwing it back to 1972, the year of an infamous break-in now known as the Watergate scandal, Elton John released his hit song “Rocket Man,” and when the famous fried chicken chain first opened its doors.
Popeyes was founded on June 12, 1972, in New Orleans, Louisiana, by Al Copeland. Originally called “Chicken on the Run,” it was later reopened as Popeyes — selling spicy, New Orleans-style chicken. Its first franchise restaurant opened in 1976 and today, there are over 2,800 locations across the U.S., alone.
As the chain prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary this month, Popeyes is selling two pieces of its famous bone-in-chicken for only 59 cents. The discounted price is the same amount customers originally paid in 1972, the company said.
Between June 12 and June 19, customers who use the Popeyes app or order on Popeyes.com and spend a minimum of $5 can cash in on the anniversary deal. The special offer is not valid for delivery and purchases in Los Angeles must be a minimum of $10, the company said.
Last month, fellow chicken chain KFC sold Mother’s Day bouquets full of fried chicken, and Taco Bell made a whole TikTok musical with Dolly Parton about its beloved Mexican Pizza that recently returned to menus nationwide.
Taco Bell Rewards Members who received a mystery reward back during the Big Game will score a free Mexican Pizza when it’s back on May 19, while loyalty members will get first dibs with early access to the menu item for most it was sold out.
For fans wishing to snag the fan-favorite item without leaving their home, Mexican Pizza will be available exclusively through DoorDash for the first week the menu item is back from May 19 – to May 26, before being made available on other delivery platforms on May 27, 2022.
