Many parents have by now found out the Disney Movie Rewards program is quite rewarding if you learn to keep up with it. You can actually get rewarded for the purchases you make. Just taking a few minutes each time you buy a movie to go online to the Disney Movie Rewards account has earned some fun, free merchandise delivered to my home and online.
Disney Movie Rewards is a free online customer loyalty program that allows users to enter codes they find printed on inserts in Disney DVDs, Blu-rays and CDs, as well as codes printed on movie ticket stubs from certain in-theater films. If you are a member of the Kellogg’s Family Rewards it is quite similar. A movie ticket may contain a code for 100 points, and those points accumulate online for Disney-branded merchandise, gift cards, more movies and other items.
In addition to earning points through money you spent on merchandise, Disney Rewards offers routine free points, sometimes as part of the monthly member e-newsletter and other times in conjunction with holidays or special events. Surveys also become available to members periodically, with points awarded on completion. So even without buying Disney movies, your account balance can grow even with updating your account information.
There are plenty of freebies on the Movie Rewards site from Disney such as coloring books to download and special offers. My favorite redemptions are the gift cards such as the $10 Starbucks Card for
1250 points and the $10 Disney Gift Card for 1100 points. Although you can start redemptions at just 5 points.
We also get some free codes sent to us that you can use. You just plug them in after you log-in at Disneymovierewards.go.com:
