Marriott credit cards now earn bonus rewards on Groceries towards free hotel stays

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic is uphending Americans’ lives and changing how we spend our money. As a result of stay-at-home orders and health concerns, consumers have been canceling vacations and avoiding booking future travel. While travel is in decline, grocery sales have been on the rise.

Go here for updated 5x Grocery Bonus

This may make a travel card you have less valuable, but card issuers are adapting their rewards programs in the meantime due to the changing environment.

Marriott is now offering most co-branded credit cards from Chase and American Express an enhanced 6X Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar spent on eligible grocery purchases starting tomorrow, May 1, through July 31, 2020. This is great news if you can’t earn points on hotel travel and don’t have a grocery rewards card.

Unpublished T-Mobile 50% Off “Covid-19 Plan”

While today is Tuesday and everyone who is a customer of Big T is logging into their T Mobile Tuesday accounts to get free gas, kids educational tools and free food they are also offering other great discounts today.

T-Mobile is currently offering a deal where you can get a 50% discount on your existing plan. This is not published on their website nor made public but most likely for people calling in with hardships. Before this they were just giving people a few months longer to pay their bill but no discounts.

The deal is that T-Mobile is giving you 50% off your mobile bill if you commit to a 3 GB data cap. Supposedly this is for 3 months and then you will get normal bill as well as your original data limit. Its worked on 55+ plans so it seems to be stackable.

According to a reddit post T-mobile will simply be adding 50% off code on your account for capping your data usage. In other words, they’re not altering your plan. So, if you’re on a old data plan then you can still participate in this offer without worry. If you’re on a 2G plan then this bumps it up to 3G so even better for three months!

We verified it with T-Mobile by calling 411 today. This is a no-brainer if you use your Wifi at home anyway.

T-Force:
We are always looking at ways to make things easier for our customers during these uncertain time and we appreciate you checking on this offer to ensure you are fully setup for success with how this discount works. We are offering customers 50% off their services for 3 months but this would require you to have your data plan switched to the 3GB capped option for the discount to apply. This won’t impact your rate plan itself or any promotions, it’s just in order to get the 50% off the services it would require us to move every line to a capped 3GB data plan. You can revert back to the unlimited at anytime but we wanted to be fully transparent with this offer so you can make the decision that works best for you and your family.

Although, If you use hotspots for other devices from one phone then I would not do this. It will not allow you to use hotspots and some of us that use 25G a month will have to pay for additional usage if it goes over the new lower cap for three months.

So how do you get 50% off? You need to contact T-Mobile on Twitter and ask them for it.

6 Reasons You Need UPS My Choice Premium

Unlimited Free Delivery Changes
Say you ordered a new phone charger via Amazon Prime on a Thursday, but decided to go on a last-minute road trip that Friday afternoon. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could tell your package to meet you at your friends’ house?

With UPS My Choice Premium you can. It allows you to reroute your shipments to The UPS Store or another address without paying additional fees. Don’t need that charger right away, but also don’t want it left sitting on the porch until you return? You can also choose a new delivery date that suits your schedule.

Unlimited Free SurePost Upgrades
SurePost is when UPS hands the package off to the U.S. Postal Service for final delivery, and it typically arrives one day earlier. It’s great for those times when you’ve got a new book or game coming and waiting an extra day feels like torture.

2 Free Confirmed Delivery Windows
Twice a year, UPS MY Choice Premium will let you choose a free 2-hour confirmed delivery window. If you’ve ever missed an iPhone delivery because you ran to the bathroom, the value of such a precise delivery range is not lost on you!

Delivery Planning
If you’re the type of person who likes to stay on top of things, you’ll love these (optional) status alerts via text, phone, or e-mail the day before a delivery.

You can also use the online calendar to manage and track all your home deliveries, and when possible, UPS will even provide an estimated delivery time frame. It’s not guaranteed, but you can stay calm if a package hasn’t arrived by 5 pm if the tracker shows something closer to 7.

Sign Online
With this feature, you can give authorization online for UPS to deliver packages without a signature. This means they can be dropped off when you’re not home, so no more soul-crushing “missed delivery” notes.

Give Delivery Instructions
Have you had a package mysteriously disappear, despite all indications it was delivered to your front door? Do you suspect some ruffian of absconding with your treasure? UPS gives you options to guard against this. You can direct the driver to leave your package with a neighbor who lives within walking distance, or designate a spot for your package to be placed. The back door may not be a genius hiding spot, but it is less exposed than your front porch.
