samsclubgascardSam’s Club 5-3-1 Cash Back Credit Card

Special Offer: $20 Statement Credit through May 31st with $50 purchase.
Sam’s Club 5-3-1 Cash Back Credit Card Program with Synchrony Financial recently won three Loyalty 360 Awards and is considered one of the top travel cards with no annual fee. The Sam’s Club MasterCard Dual Card is Synchrony Financial’s patented version of a co-branded credit card, offering qualifying members the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 cash back annually. This includes 5 percent cash back on their first $6,000 in fuel purchases, 3 percent cash back on dining and travel, and 1 percent cash back on all other purchases.

There is no annual fee and earned rewards can be redeemed for cash, in-club purchases or toward annual club membership fees. Sam’s Club credit cardholders can shop and manage their account online or on their mobile device.

We recommend this card as one of our top gas credit cards as you can earn 5% Cash Back on your first $6,000 spent on Sam’s Club and Walmart fuel stations, and at Gas Stations located in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. This does exclude fuel stations located at or that are part of warehouse clubs and certain supercenters and supermarkets. So do not try and fill up at Costco or another supercenter. Feel free to fill up at Exxon and Chevron or any other type of gas station though.

The best feature to some of us frequent travelers is this is a card with no annual fee that pays 3% cash back on travel. Travel merchants are generally merchants identified by their MCC in categories such as airlines,
rental cars, hotels, passenger rail travel, bus lines, cruise lines, timeshares, travel agencies,
travel sites and tour operators. Now if only we could get Uber and Lyft as part of this but hotels and rental cars will add up to quite a bit alone.

The innovative cash back program features a co-branded MasterCard including chip-enabled technology issued by Synchrony Bank won a silver award in the Customer Experience & Engagement category. Also a bronze award in the Creative Campaign category and a silver in the 360 Degree Loyalty Award for Excellence in North America. The Sam’s Club 5-3-1 cash back program had been a finalist in a field of more than 60 brands that included some of the most valuable and recognizable consumer packaged goods, retail, travel, hospitality, restaurant and financial services companies in the world.

You can apply for the 5-3-1 cash back cards at Sam’s Club locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico or at SamsClub.com/credit.

Previously Sam’s Club worked exclusively with Discover Card and still offer cash back at the register at wholesale and Walmart locations nationwide. They also work with American Express with a Walmart Bluebird partnership.

Not only do they offer a personal version of this MasterCard but a Business version which we feel is the best fleet gas card on the market. If you have several cars for your small business that you fill regularly this seems to be perfect to use along with the Sam’s membership and dining and travel cash back.

TIP: Sam’s Club has secret clearance pricing. To find these offers then look for prices that end in a penny such as $19.91 or $14.11 or anything marked with a “C” for clearance.
