Apple Music’s standard free trial offer is a generous 90 days so you should jump on this offer!
By using the Shazam app, would-be Apple Music subscribers can get a total of 6 months Apple Music for free. And you can even get some free months it if you’re currently, or have previously been, an Apple Music subscriber.
How to get your free 6 months of Apple Music
To take advantage of the offer, download and open the Shazam app. Next, hit the Library symbol on the top left of the home screen or swipe left to right. This should bring up a “Limited Time” offer for Apple Music. Tap Try Now, then Try It Free. Finally, hit Confirm and you’re all sorted.
An alternative way to take advantage of the offer is to use Shazam to identify a song. When you get Shazam to listen to a song, it will bring up associated info, such as lyrics and other tracks by the artist. In addition, this will bring up text reading: “Get up to 6 months free of Apple Music.”
Tap the text and you’ll get ushered through to a page where you can Try It Free.
And existing Apple Music customers look here!! 👀
The frustrating thing about these offers, of course, is that they often don’t apply to the most ardent supporters of a service. They’re there to pull in new customers, so if you’re someone already paying your monthly $10 there’s no need to offer it to you.
If you’re already an Apple Music subscriber, you can get three months for free by cancelling your subscription and resubscribing.
To do this, load up your Settings and navigate to Subscriptions. Then tap on Apple Music and Cancel Subscription. Next, open the Shazam app, go to the Library page and Settings Then tap on Disconnect next to Apple Music. With Apple Music disconnected, you should be able to see the offer as described above.
Existing users and previous members can also get 3 months for free, existing users will need to cancel their account first and you’ll also need to disconnect Apple music from Shazam if they were already connected. Normally we only see three or four months for new users, so this is much better than standard.
Spotify, an Apple Music competitor, is also running 3 mos for a one month, 3-month free trials, and 6 free months for AT&T Fiber subscribers.
To recap:
It’s currently possible to get six months of Apple Music for free. To get this offer you need to do the following:
Download Shazam & then identify a song if you haven’t already
Hit ‘Library’
Select any song
Click open in Apple Music
Prompt for six months free should show up
The Apple Music holidays offer was launched by Apple for Black Friday and Cyber Monday in the USA, UK and Canada. It ran from November 29 through December 2. However, Apple has seemingly decided to extend this for the holidays.
The Curb app formerly known as Taxi Magic is the most popular way to book taxi’s on demand in 60 cities across the U.S. With the Curb app you can book taxis from New Orleans to New York City in the U.S. and when traveling to Canada, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. They offer an alternative to on-demand ride share services that have surge pricing but remember cabbies regular rates are often more expensive. We recommend these as our #1 and #2 ride-sharing apps.
Curb is offering new users a free $5 credit toward your first ride, and you can earn additional $5 credits for referring your friends.
How To Get $5 New Curb User Credit:
1. Create a new Curb account and download the app for the first time.
2. On the credit card registration page that appears after creating an account, click the “Enter Promo Code” text link.
3. Enter Referral Code o91l92 to receive $5 in Magic Credits added to your account instantly.
4. Complete the registration of your credit card with Curb.
Curb finally launched a new and improved Curb app experience for booking and paying for your taxi rides. This was long overdue and a reason why we haven’t posted in over a year on this Uber Alternative because the old app was slow and unresponsive at times. This latest release includes a new look, time-saving features, and easier ways to choose your payment method. You can now provide special instructions for your driver right from the home screen something that Uber and Lyft could use. The best new feature is the “Pair & Pay” if you’re in a taxi, simply enter a 7-digit code and pay for a ride. The Pair & Pay is not available everywhere yet but they have worked hard to speed up this payment and it’s way faster than using the old credit card system that taxi’s are known to use. Make sure to update the app. (more…)

Most people know that you can earn loyalty points by using cards in slot machines while your gambling in Las Vegas such as the Identity at the Cosmopolitan, Total Rewards at Caesar’s Palace and the M Life at MGM resorts. What most people do not know is that you can get lots of freebies by not betting any money at all just playing MyVegas in your free time on Facebook. This will earn you a few comps here and there without spending money and can be fun but time consuming at times.
I have played for over a year now and had planned on cashing out for a buffet back in September with my MLife points. I continued playing the game and my trip to Las Vegas next week I am cashing out on two free nights at the Monte Carlo, a 2 for 1 buffet and whatever else I can get with 33k loyalty points if I do not make it to 35k points. Addicted? Maybe.
Of course when you go to redeem the points you have to choose between the various MGM resort restaurants, casinos, or rooms. They will show lots of “free” Circus Circus rooms and any room they have a harder time selling such as the Monte Carlo. The Mirage and Mandalay Bay are a bit harder to score nights since they only allow certain dates to book these such as Sunday through Thursdays and then call it a “bonus” night to make it even harder to score. It’s almost a jackpot just trying to get one of these redemption’s to work out perfectly. Book your hotel stay with the Las Vegas Venetian or Palazzo’s Best Price Guarantee or your first night is free![/button]
I happened to be staying at the Cosmopolitan using Marriott Rewards points for Friday and Saturday and thought I would stay free using the M Life loyalty points for Thursday and Sunday nights the easiest nights to use these. While I am staying there using these points as comps I still have to pay a resort fee. Yes, even at the Cosmopolitan. It’s sad that even the Bally’s or Caesars Palace hotels who once did not charge resort fees do now. If you want a comped room be prepared to pay over $29 in fees that get you basically nothing. I mean who uses the phone or an old ethernet connection these days. I will use my iPhone and tether before I try and plug an Ethernet cord in my computer from the Luxor.
