Here is a list of some of the hottest credit card bonus offers out there for air travel and hotel stays.
#1 Hilton Visa – 80,000 Bonus Points after $2k spend in 3 months . 80,000 points is a great start but not enough for even one night at most of their top tier hotels but is enough for 3 nights in a Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn. You still need to jump on this offer as it is one of the best they have had in the last few years. Also, the Hilton Visa does lots of promotions that are targeted such as a few I have right now. A few examples are spending $700 and getting 7,000 points and spending $10,000 for 10,000 points. Every bit helps you get towards your ultimate goal of a free night or two at a Hilton Resort. Also, make sure to grab the American Express version of the Hilton HHonors Rewards Card to the right. Apply Here.
#2 Citi Prestige Card (read here why this card is amazing) – 50,000 Bonus Points after $3k spend in 3 months. [creditcards.citicards.com] Tied with below:
#3 Citi Premier – 50,000 Bonus Points after $3k spend in 3 months. We applied for this card mostly because the annual fee of $95 is waived the first year. You could get both the Prestige and Premier cards to get up to $848 in American Airlines Flights.
#4 Marriott Visa – 80,000 Points after $3k spend in 3 months. You have until August 31, 2015 to take advantage of this offer but the annual fee is $85 is not waived. This is the best deal we have seen with Marriott Visa in some time and you can get another 80,000 with the business card for small business owners. If you do not plan on spending $3k and $2k instead there is also a 70,000 points offer available. It gives less miles but the $85 annual fee is waived and you get 1 free night (category 1-4) after you are approved. 80,000 is enough for 8+ free nights at category 1-2 hotels or 2 nights at the better hotels. Don’t forget about the Ritz-Carlton Rewards Visa Sign-Up Bonus which was as high as 140,000 Points a few months ago and all of those points convert to Marriott Rewards if you use your Marriott number on the application.
80,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points! Most Ever!
#5 Citi Executive AAdvantage – 75,000 Mile Bonus after $7,500 spend in 3 months. While this card has a $450 annual fee that is(not waived it comes with several valuable benefits including but not limited to Admirals Club membership and 2 guests, credit up to $100 to pay for expedited Global Entry, priority check-in, and free 1st checked bag which more than pays for the card. Plus you get reimbursed on some charges when flying. You can score up to 3 domestic round trip tickets. If you do not mind paying the huge fee that you will get back and spending $7,500 then this works out to be one of the best cards on the market. When hunting for energy in the great state of Texas it’s almost like shopping for a car. You normally have a friend refer you to ones they recommend or you look for the best deals being offered at the time. I have switched energy providers several times since I have owned my house in North Dallas. I have been with TXU, Gexa, Reliant, and many others. TXU is normally the most expensive while Gexa threw on some unexpected fees. Reliant energy has been my favorite and they are offering a deal you cannot refuse right now that is actually better than the miles you can get through Southwest or American Airlines. This offer is for a $150 bill credit for a limited time.
Steps to get $150 from Reliant Energy
1. Sign up for a Reliant Energy term plan by December 31 using referral ID JCZEGC7.
2. Choose the term plan that is right for you.
3. Receive a $150 bill credit. You can also refer your friends to get more credits on your electric bills.
4. Do this before December 31, 2016.
Remember to enroll in a term plan to get your referral reward. Month-to-month plans are not eligible. You can now track your bill credits and monitor how many referral credits are coming your way when you log in to your online account. If you have any trouble enrolling online you can call 1-866-RELIANT to sign up. (more…)

It’s been about 4 months since my last credit card application day where I make a game plan on where I wish to travel and rewards I am seeking, what bonuses are around then deciding on what cards I want. This process used to be simple when I first started RewardsCards.com there were less blogs around and less voices saying look at this card over here. Now there are more banks and credit unions and so many decisions to make as I try to narrow it down to 3 or 4 cards ever 4 months. Some bloggers call this an App-O-Rama or an App-Party but I just call it me sitting down with wine concentrating on what I can get out of each card for the next four months.
The process starts out a month or so before the decision day when I start setting aside the hottest offers on the market. I have made so many mistakes in the past where I would apply for a card I had not remembered applying for such as the American Express Starwood Card two years in a row. It came time that I made up a spreadsheet to detail what credit card company and specific card I had applied for, used for the spending at certain establishments, category promotions, or used for the bonus only. Those things update daily on this site so its always hard to keep track. (more…)

While we love and obsess over frequent flyer miles and cash back on this site there are also many other rewards available such as revenue sharing that we need to cover more. Recently Jet.com tried a revenue sharing offer and we signed up although it has yet to be released but we hope it takes off and gives Amazon a real competitor. BigCrumbs, a former cash back site recently announced a revenue sharing deal for its MainStreetSHARES where instead of earning cash back when you shop online at popular stores. This means you will now earn a share of all company revenue.
That’s right the site looks over your total monthly spending and members you have referred and you get shopping commissions, advertising revenue, with future revenue streams coming. MainStreetSHARES members will also earn lifetime referral commissions when your referrals shop called msSHARES. If MainStreetSHARES is acquired, you’ll receive a cash payout, based on the number of msSHARES you’ve earned. Members who earn msSHARES will be entitled to a specially reserved additional 10% share of acquisition proceeds through July 31, 2015. You basically get stock in this company for buying things online you normally would and referring friends.
