UBER has unleashed a new version of the Ride Pass and it will probably not be as limited with sign-ups as the previous ones. This is mainly because UBER seems to be making more money from the Ride Pass this time around and you can only select one route you want a flat fare on. The Pros:
-$3.99 to Free Delivery Fee Paid One-Time by signing up for this Ride Pass.
-Possibly 20% off your rides
The Cons:
-It costs $9.99 instead of the $5.99 before they charged to sign up and you get less in return.
-In our tests in the Houston area we were not impressed that it was 20% off. The price may have been marked up as it seemed higher than normal fares.
-No real fare difference on the selected choice route but maybe a few dollars or so. We’re not sure what the advantage of this Ride Pass is but we will test it more. (more…)

Silvercar Rental Review
I first learned about Silvercar when they came to Dallas a few years ago but never really had a need for them because they were not in a city I had planned to rent a car in until now. I’ve seen all the sites from Ebates to Retailmenot posting promo codes but never really understood how the car rental site worked compared to Budget or Hertz.com.
Pretty sure I have the hang of it now and just in time for a last minute July 4th Vacation in Denver, CO. I have been so worried about this trip because my family will be outside of Denver and I will need a rental car of some kind. So I researched on Kayak.com and then over on the Citi Thank You points site. I also looked over at Budget.com where I am used to putting in coupon codes to save 20% or so.

Uber announced the details of their anticipated new credit card this week. Key features include 4% cashback on dining, $100 signup bonus, $600 in cell phone insurance, and a $50 subscriptions (e.g. Netflix, Hulu) benefit.
Uber and Barclaycard have partnered to issue this new Visa card which will be available for application starting November 2, 2017. The following rewards can be earned:
- 4% back on dining which includes restaurants, fast-food restaurants, takeout, and bars, including UberEATS. You really can’t beat the 4% dining cashback with any other card unless you have Chase Freedom or Discover IT at 5% during the 3 months a year they offer this.
- 3% back on airfare, hotels, travel agencies, and vacation home rentals including AirBnB
- 2% back on online purchases which includes online shopping, Uber, and streaming services. This includes retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Macy’s, as well as Netflix, Pandora, HBO Now, Apple Music, iTunes, and Google Play. And also certain online services like Instacart, Shyp, Angie’s List, Handy, Thumbtack, FlyCleaners, and TaskRabbit. We’ve spoken before about Postmates and their beta rewards program. This one is much better for deliveries! Ibotta is a smart new way to earn cash when you shop. It’s way better than coupons but you need to use an app and normally take photos of your receipt inside the app. With this new 10% cash back offer with Postmates deliveries (and Delivery.com) there’s no need to get receipts because its all mobile.
