by PointsGuru | Mar 28, 2017 | Cheap Travel Deals, Low Cost Airlines
Even if you do not dare to fly the low-fare low-thrills airline Spirit you have to love their marketing campaigns. They always take advantage of a out-of-control viral news event that is bad for one company but good for them. Spirit Airlines has just announced their “Let Them Wear Leggings” sale offering 75% off flights. While United Airlines is putting out the Leggings bad publicity fire Spirit Airlines is cashing in!
Spirit Airlines posted:
Because of recent headlines, we thought we’d double-check our etiquette atlas. Turns out wearing leggings are not a big deal. We thought everyone knew that, but guess not. Well at least at Spirit, we’re united (cough) about letting young girls dress how they want. If you want to fly with us, get your leggings on ladies. Or even gentlemen. No judgments here. Unless you’re wearing those new clear-knee mom jeans, then some judgments. But you can still fly with us. Just use this deal so that next time you can buy a complete pair of pants.
Delta also threw major shade at United on Twitter:

by PointsGuru | Mar 28, 2017 | Mileage Plan, Virgin America Elevate
Alaska recently offered 10,000 bonus miles to anyone who had both an Alaska Mileage Plan and Virgin America Elevate account, and then linked them. They seem to still be doing that for some and anyone may be able to take advantage of this. If you are not yet a member of the Alaska Mileage Plan they have a fantastic new member bonus going on where you can earn 5,000 bonus Mileage Plan miles.
You just need to enroll here between March 23 and April 30, 2017, and complete an Alaska or Virgin America flight by September 30, 2017.
To qualify, the member must book a ticket eligible for earning Mileage Plan miles, and must credit it to their Mileage Plan account. You can receive the bonus a maximum of one time, and it’s not valid with any other Mileage Plan enrollment bonus.
Alaska has a long list of great airline partners where you can redeem miles for premium cabin travel. 5,000 miles is enough for a one-way ticket covering up to 700 flown miles. This is about $75 or so worth of free miles.

The new sharing economy is bringing a surplus of new jobs that were unheard of before thanks to technology and the dying breed of rude taxi cabs. Extra income working a part time job driving a new or partially used car can bring in some big bucks especially with a good attitude.

We have been getting clickable coupons for 30% off each Thursday for every weekend. The emails seem to come around 7Am CST for the 30% off coupon that you can apply to your CVS card to use in-store only. This is great for those who travel who have no choice but to buy expensive drug store goods. The 30% off really brings it down to a Walmart price if you ask me.
How do you get in on this weekly 30% Off? You simply sign up for the CVS Extra Care program that is free for anyone. They will then mail you this one important coupon weekly. You then click on it where it says get coupon then it loads it onto your CVS card. So you have no coupon to bring with you because it is digitally loaded on your card and ready to use!
This is my favorite thing about CVS over Walgreens are these weekly 30% off promos to use in-store. There have been times in the past that they change up the coupon to only 20% off or give you a $5 off $30 spend. Either way you can be assured that each Thursday you will have a coupon for Weekend Travel.
Update 2017: It’s been a few months since CVS has sent this coupon we used to get once a month. We finally got one in our inbox today on March 16, 2017. This is a 30% coupon for in-store purchases only good through Sunday, March 19, 2017. Last week they sent out a 10% off coupon which we quickly deleted and awaited the big catch for 30% off!
Now if we can get Walgreens to do the same!
